We ofter hear gym dwellers hollering about “leg day”. It’s a cardinal sin to skip leg day an for many great reasons. They aren’t reasons that you would think either like, “You’re legs are too skinny” or “You’re all muscle up top and you’ve got nothing down below”. While those are valid concerns, they aren’t necessarily twisting your arm to make you want to go do leg day. These six reasons sure will though. Check them out below.
You’ll Look Ridiculous
You’ve seen those guys walking down the street with huge billowing muscles. Great shoulders and awesome pectoral muscles but when you look below the waist, you see these scrawny little legs. While you don’t want to look ridiculous, you do want to look somewhat proportioned when it comes to your workout routine.
When doing your daily routine, try to alternate from your arms to abs to legs. This will help you get an all around physique that is not only acceptable to you, but well presented all around. If you look and feel good, people will notice.
You’ll Have a Smaller Upper Body
If you skip leg day and work only your arms, you’ll bulk up, but you won’t bulk up to your maximum without leg day. It’s proven to show that you won’t get the max out of your upper body workout with the strength of your lower body. The two work together creating one fluid workout.
While you may not want to solely focus on your legs as a whole, wouldn’t you want to have sufficient upper body workout result in something that you want to see?
You Won’t do Well With Sports
It’s said that you your leg workout will fuel the rest of your workout. Why do you think that cross country runner have such good stamina? They taken the time to train their leg muscles and perform to their highest power. Let day isn’t about getting thighs as big as Texas. It is about building muscle to sustain and support the rest of your body.

While you’re able to digest food quickly and efficiently, you don’t have to be afraid to have your cake and eat it to.

It is said that the more you workout the more your brain is able to learn and obtain knowledge. Making new brain cells comes from the extra blood flow in your body. The more blood flow in your body, the more your brain is able to sustain oxygen to make new cells to house more information.
