We all have cram packed schedules, which, in all actuality means we have to binge a whole season of Shameless so no one spoils it. Having a “jam packed” schedule can mean that you don’t have time for other things that are important, like working out. Here are some super easy workouts to do while you’re finishing your latest binge.
The Official Lazy Girl Workout:
All of these exercises you can do from the comfort of your watching area, whether that’s a bed, a couch, or a chair.
You don’t need anything to do this workout except a flat surface, so let’s get started!
Each exercise you will want to do until you feel a burning sensation in your muscles. You will want to do three sets of each, but you can always do more.
This one is great for the inner thighs! Lay on the floor with your belly facing up, and lift one leg up, slowly. As you bring this leg down, bring your other leg up. Continue to alternate. For a more advanced version, try keeping your toes pointed.
This is a good quick one to do in between netflix episodes. Just do it in ten second intervals between episodes (Netflix will even count it down for you!). If you’re not watching Netflix, choose one commercial during each break, or every other, and plank for that entire commercial.
There are many ways to do a plank. You can either be in a stationary push up (on the up half) or disperse the weight across your forearms.
This one you might feel a bit goofy doing, but trust me, it will be worth it in the end. What you’ll do is get on all fours, the floor is probably the best place for this exercise. Lift one of your legs up, so that your thigh is aligned with the rest of your body, but your knee is still bent at a 90 degree angle. Pulse your leg upwards. Make sure you do this exercise on both legs. This works your butt muscles.
This is a great and easy addition to the lazy workout. I would suggest sitting on the floor for this one, because if your chair or couch or whatever you are sitting on to binge your favorite show is fluffy, it will be difficult to do this exercise well. Sit on the floor, and balance yourself on your butt bone (your hips). Now extend your legs and keep them straight. Hold this position as long as you can.
This one is great for the ab muscles! Lay on your back with your legs together and lifted at a 90 degree angle. Move your legs to the left, up and then right. Repeat this until you feel it in your abs. Remember to keep your back on the ground.
For this exercise, lay on the floor on your belly. Hold your arms straight out infront of you and lift your legs up slightly. You should feel like you are balancing on your hip bones. Hold this position for as long as you can.
This is a super easy way to get fit while you are catching up on your favorite shows! All of these exercises will challenge you but not distract you from the latest episode.
